These: I believe, are the two most chosen cell phone provider in the US.
Witch one do you like and why?
What do you not like about either one?

I've been with vzw now from since it bought out alltel, and don't think i'd switch, even if given the choice to do so. their coverage here where i live is quite good, and that's saying something as i live in some pretty isolated area here with the closest good sized town over an hour away.

I think satisfaction with a carrier varies by where you live. I've been with at&T for years and have been very happy. Coverage in my area is great. However, I've talked to friends in other parts of the country who hate at&t and say coverage is crap. I don't know much about Verizon to give an opinion. They just moved into my area about a year ago. I don't know anyone around here who uses it. At&t is most common around here so I use them mainly because of free mobile to mobile and everyone I talk to is at&t. I've always gotten decent customer service and they have a call center specifically for customers with disabilities which is helpful. My advice is to compare their plans and talk to people in your area to find out what works best.

I've been with Verizon for almost a year now, and I haven't had any problems with them. I haven't really had experience with AT&T, so I don't have anything to say about them, other than the fact that their plans for iPhones are pretty darn expensive.

I love AT&T for every reason except for the Date plan issue. If you've got yourself a smart phone data plan, it's not as unlimited as they like to tell you it is. A 5-gig cap as compared to the data plans for nonSmart phones. Other than that, AT&T is pretty awesome. Great customer service, decent reception in my area, decent plans with MobileSpeak, and a lot more.

Oh, and we can't forget, of course, rollover minutes! :D

at and t sucks in my area. and they advertise they had the unlimited call and texting. but when my friends first bill came it so wasn't. lol she complained about it and they said they never had such a deal. but the guy selling her the contract told her she would and there were commercials all the time about it. funnily now that I think of it I haven't seen one for the past few days. heheheh

I've used both and don't really have any complaints about either. Right now I'm with AT&T because they support more phones that work with Talks.

With AT&T I believe you can call there disability survice and get the data plan charge dropped if you're blind.
I've been trying to pick between both of these options. In some ways it might be better to pick a phone first, or base it on what types of phones/survices you want. There verry different networks with verry different strengths and weeknesses.

I've been with VZW for 4 years, and I have a phone for work through at&t.
I truely appreciate the VZW coverage, and the 3g, but the customer service is absolutely with out a doubt the worse, I've ever experienced. I had an insident where I tried to add a line, and they needed me to send over a document to them for an employee discount, well until the doc was sent, I was told I would not to have any changes made to my line, well the moment I get off the phone to get the documents ready to fax, I get a txt message, thanks for changing your plan. As you may or may not know because most cell bills are pro-rated, not only did I pay for my previous plan, but then I was charged for the new plan for two phones even though, I hadn't even been issued a new cell phone number for the second line. I called customer service the next day and I was assured this would be covered, and so I figured hey, I'm all set, so, two days later, I fax the documents call over to get my new line, only to be told I already have a second line. Well I nicely explained to check the notes, and they'd see that all should be taken care of. At that point I was told, there were no notes, that would prove my claim ETC ETC. So imagine my discust, when I got my bill and it was double what it normally was plus I now was being billed for 3 lines, even though I only had two lines. It's been two years since this occured, and I'm still dealing with getting this taken care of. I've filed several complaints with the BBB and have gotten a letter telling me it's all taken care of, however, every time I call in to make a payment or something of that nature, the first question I get is you know about this third line. Or, didn't you have an account in the past with us. My contract is over in June, and I will not be renewing after this situation. I could tell very similar stories about VZW and date plans.

I've had both, and currently use VZW. I like the customer service, and the now selection of phones for the blind. ATT is more user friendly in my opinion as far as their website. VZW recently made some changes that makes theirs even less accessible then it was. You can do the necessary things sure, but the fun stuff is better and accessible with ATT. I believe VZW has bgetter coverage when I've traveled, and dealing with both seems easy. Pricing is same, and the roll over minutes on ATT are the same as what is called promotional minutes on VZW. It works like if I'm say up to about 400 minutes and in the middle of the month on a 450 minute plan I call and ask for promotional minutes and can receive 500 more, so I suppose it's like roll over. It isn't something you use all the time, but when you need it's good to have.

I have used VZW and their costermare service has been great until recently. I had to get one of my phones replaced and they kept sending me the wrong phone. I had the HTC O-Zone with talks, they kept sending me the one without talks. So I am going to or have, switched to AT&T and got the I Phone. I am going to sespend VZW lines for a bit without pay and wait for the canceling price to go down. It goes down $10 per phone each month. So after a few months I can cancel it for a lower price than I would have to do today. also it makes things easier to get the I Phone now and not have to wait a long time to get a cell phone to replace VZW. I now just have to wait for my cell to come in the mail.

Nicky they are not sending you the one with talks pre-installed on it because they only had a limited number of thoughs lying around for customers to have. They are now out of them. It's not there fault really. Customer representatives unfortunately aren't trained in some areas and that just happens to be one of them.

As for my opinion on the topic at hand I have only used AT&T for a little while then switched to verizon and am now unfortunately screwed over with sprint. I'm not in the contract so I don't care. The bill is in my families name thank god! I'm trying to decide on what company I'd like to go with. AT&T and verizon both have great coverage in my ear! They both have a plan I want. I just don't know about the phone. I think if I go verizon I'll be going for the ever so popular lg ENV 3. I love that phone! I've wanted it since it came out. I like AT&T as well but I don't know if there lge phones have the thingy to read texts or not. I know that they have the voice-command feature on it with AVR but as for anything else I'm not sure of. Anyone offering up some suggestions for me would be much apriciated.
Thanks in advanced. YOu may contact me off here if you want to. It's all in my profile.

I've had At&T for three years now and love it! Coverage is great everywhere that I go, and customer service is great, way better than Sprint. Unfortunately, Verizon sucks in my area and is more popular with the college kids from Houston, for example, thatn with kids around here because of its poor reception. The Verizon store we just got a year and a half ago just closed. However, Verizon is great everywhere but my area.
